Heat Pump System Gas System Air Conditioning with Electric heat Thermostat
The thermostat is the main link between you and your system. The thermostat senses what we call
sensible heat*. What we as humans feel in the air is a combination of sensible, latent, and radiant heat.
It is also important to consider the location of your system thermostat. For example you wouldn't want
to have the thermostat installed in the kitchen because the kitchen tends to get a little warmer than
the rest of the house. When this happens the thermostat would think the entire house needed
cooling and would then deliver and thus over cooling the rest of the house.
You may want to consider a digital programmable thermostat if you haven't already. With the digital
programmable you can have the system set it self back automatically to further save you on
energy cost
