A new frontier in HVAC Service

Check all belts, bearings, and shafts

Loose fan belts can damage system compressor as well as lower the efficiency of your heating and cooling system. In commercial applications it may be best to plan a scheduled v-belt change at least once a year. If a v-belt on a blower becomes defective the compressor will continue to run until the low pressure or high pressure limits take it out. Unchceked this could shorten the life of the compressor and the system.

Defective bearing have 2 symptons, 1) Noise in the occupied space. 2) Create end and side play in the shaft to race contact area which in turn causes Sympton #1.

A bearing that makes a roaring noise and left to run may cause extensive damage to the shaft which can lead to a more costly repair.
