Heat Pump System Gas System Air Conditioning with Electric heat Thermostat
Filters Maintenance Troubleshooting
As with any gas appliance certain precautions should be taken. always know where the
shut off valves are for all gas appliances as well as for the whole house. Make sure your
home is equipped with several fire detectors and at least one carbon monoxide alarm.
Also be sure to check the batteries at least once a year. Have Briggs Air Systems service
your gas system each season in the fall.
A gas furnace has many parts that are subjected to high temperatures. Each time your furnace
lights the parts heat up and when the furnace shuts down the parts cool. This heating and cooling of
these parts causes them to deteriorate. This is why it is important have your system checked regularly.
If you have a package furnace that is 90% or less the exhaust may be hot so, be careful when
you are around the unit during operation.
